Danziger and Rinehart feature seven new poinsettia varieties

Danziger has partnered with Rinehart Poinsettias, featuring seven varieties that include two vibrant whites and five stunning reds.

For 2021, all of the poinsettia production is taking place at Danziger’s facility in Guatemala, a big part of the expansion taking place at the company’s Central American farm.

Jack Frost

Jack Frost is a creamy white poinsettia with lively, upright bracts. Ranked number one in the Non-Red Variety category at Plantpeddler’s Variety Day trial, this poinsettia is more compact than Pure White, with a medium growth habit. Timing: Week 48.

Pepita

This poinsettias name says it all. Pure White, upright bracts sit atop very upright stems. Pure White is a strong, V-shaped plant with a vigorous habit. It also tolerates low light conditions in the North. Timing: Week 46/47/48.

 

Pepita

Pepita is a beautiful, deep-red poinsettia named after the Mexican Christmas story of the small child, Pepita. Pepita is a compact plant with medium bracts and tight internodes.  Its high-density production makes Pepita perfect for promotional items and mini pots. Timing: Week 46/47.

Legacy

Legacy is a vigorous plant with strong, upright stems and fancy grade bracts. This traditional red poinsettia features an eye-catching bright red hue. Timing: Week 47/48.

 

 

Hercules

Hercules

Hercules is a super-strong, red poinsettia with upright bracts and stems. This medium/compact plant features high heat tolerance, making it an excellent option for both Southern and Northern growers. Target planting for 6-inch production should be two weeks earlier than most. Expect to see compact growth with Hercules, and little need for PGRs. Timing: Week 47/48.

Southern Charm

Southern Charm

Clear-red bracts and an upright habit will have consumers charmed by Southern Charm. This poinsettia is a strong option for the South, but also performs well for Northern growers. It’s a vigorous plant that allows for later starts to reach finished target height. Timing: Week 49.

 

 

Legendary

Legendary features bright red bracts with a V-shaped habit. This poinsettia is a medium grower with medium bracts. It’s extremely versatile, perfect for any size product from minis to trees. Timing: 47/48.
