The International Grower of the Year award is organized by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) in association with FloraCulture International.

"This award is given to the best of the best from around the world. The standard of entries goes up all the time and each year the award demonstrates the outstanding professionalism and integrity shown by the world's leading nurseries."

This year's shortlisted growers, who have all won national awards in their own countries, are:

  • Romberama of Belgium
  • Sion of The Netherlands
  • Whetman Pinks of the United Kingdom
  • Sheridan Nurseries of Georgetown, Ont.

The shortlist will be judged by an expert jury from around the world who will assess the candidates against rigorous standards to decide the winner.

The Grower of the Year will be announced at a gala dinner on Sept. 11 during the AIPH Annual Congress in Niagara Falls, Ont. The gala will be hosted by the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) and Landscape Ontario.
