Recognizing the best in plantscaping

December 17, 2015  By Dave Harrison

Dec. 17, 2015, Columbus, OH – Interior Plantscapers are reminded to capture the beautiful things created this holiday season in anticipation of applying for the International Plantscape Awards.

The award application will be available Jan. 11 and will close April 1. Designed to recognize and celebrate excellence in the interiorscape community, the International Plantscape Awards will be presented during Cultivate’16, horticulture’s largest all-industry convention, July 9-12 in Columbus.

Entries are judged on their own merit, not against each other. Award winners earn a designation of gold or platinum based on points scored from information and photos provided. The award submissions are judged by a panel of distinguished plantscapers.

Here are the category details:

• Categories whose installation must have been completed during the past year (May 2015 to April 2016) are Special Event and Holiday; Silk, Replica and Preserved; Horticultural Service; and Technician Recognition.

• Categories whose installation may have been completed during the past two years (May 2014 to April 2016) are: Design; Installation; Major Renovation; Atrium and Conservatory; Living Wall; and Patio, Balcony and Roof Garden.

• A single project may be entered in multiple categories when appropriate. If the same project is entered in more than one category, a separate entry form and fee must be submitted.

• Projects that have previously received an International Plantscape Award may not be re-entered in the same category.
