OGVG rep elected to CanAgPlus board

Dec. 17, 2015, Ottawa — Stephanie Lariviere (Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers) has been appointed to the CanAgPlus board, the corporation that owns and operates the CanadaGAP program.

Also elected to the board were Keith Kuhl (Peak of the Market), Dean Thomson (Thomson Orchards) and Scott Wright (Star Produce).

With 20 years in the produce industry, Lariviere is the regulatory manager for Erie James Ltd., a packer/shipper operation in Leamington, and Sunsation Acres Ltd., a greenhouse operation in nearby Kingsville.

Lariviere received the Mary Fitzgerald Award from the Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) in 2013 and is involved in numerous industry committees, including a directorship with the Ontario Greenhouse Marketers Association.

She was recently appointed vice-chair of the CPMA food safety committee and she continues to serve as a grower representative for food safety for the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers.

Lariviere has also been a member of the CanadaGAP stakeholder advisory committee since 2010.
