Mastronardi recognized for leadership in career development

Sept. 15, 2023 – Mastronardi Produce has been recognized for leadership in career development and have been named the recipient of the Business Excellence Award for Investing in a World Class Workforce.

The award, presented by the Chamber of Commerce in Leamington, Ont., “recognizes a business that leads the way in preparing employees for the future by investing in skills development and training, providing career growth opportunities, and modelling lifelong learning,” notes a press release.

The fourth-generation family-owned business started in the 1940s under Umberto Mastronardi. In the last 25 years, the company has grown its workforce from a handful of employees in Kingsville, Ontario to over 3,000 employees in Canada, the US, Mexico, and Holland.

Earlier this year, Mastronardi Produce was recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies for the 14^th year in a row.
