July 23, 2013, Grimsby, Ont. — “Garden Sensations 2013” was the theme of today’s open house at Ed Sobkowich Greenhouses.
Hundreds of individual plants and combination plantings were on display, with dozens of growers attending the daylong open house.
Ed Sobkowich Greenhouses Ltd. was established in 1964 and has grown from a three-house seasonal hobby tomato operation to a 160,000 sq. ft. year-round wholesale business.
It is one of three licenced Canadian propagators of the Proven Winners® family of products.
The other Canadian propagators are Dentoom’s Greenhouses in Red Deer, Alberta, and Nordic Nurseries in Abbotsford, B.C.
Helping welcome the visitors was John Gaydos, director of product development and promotion with Proven Winners.
