April 8, 2011, Ottawa — Want to know where the federal parties stand on farming issues this campaign? You won’t have to wait long.
Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz and opposition party critics are going to debate issues such as trade, business risk management, environmental sustainability, food safety, and national food strategy.
The debate will be Monday (April 11) in Ottawa between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. It will be broadcast on the Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC), but it’s not been determined when it will be shown.
The event will also be webcasted live on the Canadian Federation of Agriculture website.
