CED invests $1.5M CAD in MegaDomeTM metal greenhouses manufacturers

Nov. 20, 2023 – The Canadian government has made an investment of $4 million in repayable contributions to Les Industries Harnois and Industries Mailhot.
Les Industries Harnois, active in the metal processing sector since 1965, specializes in the design, manufacturing, and installation of MegaDomeTM metal greenhouses and building structures for agricultural, industrial, and municipal applications. I
n order to capitalize on market opportunities in Canada and the U.S., the company plans to relocate certain manufacturing activities to a new plant, representing a total investment exceeding $6.7M.
CED’s $1.5M contribution will focus on acquiring and installing digital production equipment, including a laser tube cutter, a robotic welding line, a digital crimper, and other related machinery. This support will also facilitate the launch of the new Vermax line of glass greenhouses.
The funds provided to Les Industries Harnois and Industries Mailhot are part of CED’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program, which supports entrepreneurs using innovation to enhance competitiveness and regional economic stakeholders fostering an entrepreneurial environment conducive to innovation and growth.
