The Canadian Centre for Food Integrity (CCFI) has appointed Lisa Bishop-Spencer as its new executive director.

In a Feb. 29 news release, CCFI officials said that Bishop-Spencer has a 20+ year career in strategic communications, public relations, and brand management within the food industry.

Before joining the Guelph, Ont.-based CCFI, she served as the director of Transit Strategic Communications & External Relations for the City of Ottawa; and prior to that, she spent more than two decades at the Chicken Farmers of Canada, where she held various leadership positions, including director of brand and communications and manager of communications. “During her time at Chicken Farmers of Canada, she played a pivotal role in enhancing consumer trust and promoting Canadian agriculture, overseeing initiatives that significantly increased brand awareness and credibility,” CCFI said.
