U.S. tariff response, worker housing among OFVG’s policy priorities ahead of election

As Ontario prepares to head to the polls on Feb. 27, the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Association (OFVGA) shared a list of their 2025 policy priorities.

In a message shared last week, the organization calls for new policy for agricultural worker housing, investing in expansion and modernization of fruit and vegetable farms, particularly greenhouse operations, and ensuring effective responsiveness to U.S.policies impacting the Ontario agricultural sector, among other policy initiatives.
