Syngenta Canada names Shaun Vey as head of sales, crop protection

Aug., 3, 2023 – Syngenta Canada Inc. has named Shaun Vey as Head of Sales, Crop Protection. He will lead the national sales and key account team from the company’s office in Calgary, Alberta, and serve on the organization’s leadership team.

Vey first joined Syngenta Canada as an intern. He then worked full-time as a territory sales representative based in West-Central Saskatchewan. Following this, he moved to the product management team where he was responsible for a broad range of product portfolios including non-selective herbicides, insecticides, cereal seed, canola seed, and finally as product lead for Seedcare™. In 2019, Vey was promoted to the role of disease control business manager, leading the fungicide business in Canada and the launch of the Miravis® portfolio.

In 2021, he relocated with his family to Cambridge, England where he led the marketing teams in the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.

Vey has a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness from the University of Saskatchewan and an Executive MBA from Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
