July 16, 2014 — Co-op food stores in Saskatchewan have set a goal of buying more than 456-thousand kilograms of Saskatchewan-grown vegetables this year.
Federated Co-operatives says an agreement to purchase fresh vegetables from local growers was successful last year, and the goal is to expand that amount by 66 per cent this year.

More than a dozen Saskatchewan growers supply fresh produce to Co-op outlets.
There are 114 Co-op food stores in Saskatchewan.
