mourning the passing of longtime Ontario grower Michael Sym, 46.
Nov. 19, 2012, Delhi, Ont. — Family, friends and industry colleagues are mourning the passing of longtime Ontario grower Michael Sym, 46.
Along with his wife Nancy, Mr. Sym was owner/operator of Northview Greenhouses of Delhi. The two owned the business for the past 25 years.
Mr. Sym died Oct 31 while travelling through Arizona on his motorcycle. He and Nancy were dedicated motorcyclists, having logged some 320,000 kilometres on their bike over the years. They most recently returned from a trip to British Columbia.
Mr. Sym is survived by his wife Nancy, daughters Jennifer (Bill Cronmiller) and Ria (Johnathan Mago), and grandchildren Wesley, Kody, Brayden and Koralei.
Mr. Sym is remembered as a devoted family man who had many friends in and out of the industry.
Donations to the Delhi Community Health Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
