Ont. announces $4M investment for horticultural skilled trades careers

The Ontario provincial government is investing more than $4 million through the Skills Development Fund (SDF) toward a free training project fort the horticultural sector.
The Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association, a non-profit organization based in Halton Hills, Ont., is receiving $4,424,140 for its GROW & Apprenticeship training program designed to attract, recruit, and train new and young workers in the landscape and horticultural sector.
The investment is part of the provincial government’s more than $1.5 billion Skilled Trades Strategy to create training opportunities with labour and industry partners, and connect jobseekers with employers.
