Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG) is celebrating double wins after being awarded with two Gold Digital Advertising Awards for its ‘Fall Freshness’ and ‘Grocery Giveaway’ marketing campaigns promoting greenhouse-grown produce.

In a recent release, the association said it worked with the Douglas Marketing Group (DMG) to develop the campaign strategy which is being rolled out across the Atlantic U.S.

‘The Fall Freshness’ campaign and ‘The Grocery Giveaway’ campaigns were extensions of the OGVG’s ongoing Greenhouse Goodness marketing campaign celebrating the benefits of greenhouse-grown produce being available year-round.

The award-winning multi-level approach employed social media influencers, online advertising and educational resources to inform and connect with consumers.

“These campaigns have amplified our mission and vision of promoting the many benefits of greenhouse-grown produce and providing consumers with the educational resources they need to live a healthier lifestyle with the help of Greenhouse Goodness, said Richard Lee, OGVG’s executive director, in the release.

“We are dedicated to continuing these efforts while reinforcing our position as a leader in agriculture.”

The Digital Advertising Awards program is hosted by U.S.-based Creative Images Inc. and honours ‘excellence in the design and production of digital marketing,’ the program website says.

“The approach for the campaign centred on the Goodness of greenhouse grown produce, with this in mind, it was important that the strategy appealed to all audiences and evoked an overall feeling of fresh, quality and easy to have in a meal every day,” said DMG president Kay Douglas in the release.
