Tendence to focus on window dressing
June 10, 2014, Frankfurt, Germany — Visual merchandising expert Karin
Wahl will offer advice for communicating concepts and telling stories at
Tendence 2014.
As the days become shorter, shop windows and product presentations begin to appear in seasonal splendour. For retailers, this is the time to optimize the pre-Christmas decorations of previous years.
Tendence, which runs Aug. 30 to Sept. 2 in Frankfurt, Germany, will offer tips and tricks to help retailers capitalize on these merchandising opportunities.
"The point when shop windows are dressed for the Christmas season is shifting forward from year to year. For retailers, it is not easy to hold customers' attention over such a long period. Therefore I want to use my presentation at Tendence to show how to create a shop window that attracts attention over several weeks by telling a story and making relatively simple changes," said Wahl.
During Tendence, Wahl will offer daily lectures on planning and dressing a shop-window display. The presentations are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on each day of the show. Simultaneous translation into English will be provided.
