Dec. 2009 – Grandiosa is an
interspecific geranium ([pelargonium x domesticum] x
crispum) with attractive "regal looking" flowers. However, it has
significant production and garden performance differences when compared to the
regals. Grandiosa responds to a
cool growth period, however much shorter than a traditional regal, which
results in a shorter crop time and earlier flowering. Grandiosa roots easily in
four weeks like a zonal, is free branching and requires no pinching. And, most
importantly for consumers, Grandiosa flowers throughout the summer. Grandiosa
rooted and unrooted products, as well as all the new products from Red Fox, are
available throughout Canada from Ball.
