FCC’s Facebook page provides the Canadian agriculture industry with the latest FCC news, as well as useful learning resources to help producers and agribusinesses succeed. Followers can ask questions and provide feedback through FCC’s social media team.

To date the most viewed FCC Facebook content has included economic updates from FCC’s chief agricultural economist J.P. Gervais, news about FCC-related events, as well as the latest information about FCC products, including the new FM PRO Mobile app.

“Millions of Canadians use Facebook to connect with family, friends, and the brands they trust,” said Ron Podbielski, FCC vice-president, communication and corporate social responsibility. “That includes producers, agri-businesses and others in the Canadian agriculture industry. According to a 2010 survey conducted by the University of Guelph, 64 per cent of Ontario farmers surveyed had a personal Facebook account.”

“We want to build an online community within the Canadian ag industry that enables information sharing, great conversation and new connections,” said Podbielski. “Join the conversation by liking Farm Credit Canada on Facebook.”

FCC is also on Twitter @FCCagriculture.
