Looije Agro Technics builds geothermal greenhouse
March 24, 2012 By Brandi Cowen
Looije Agro Technics in Turnice in Slovenia will shortly finish project Paradajz, which is about 20 kms from the Slovenian-Austrian border, which includes a modern greenhouse heated by a geothermal system.
It is a modern vegetable company with an area of 4 HA organised to grow tomatoes on substratum. “The first time I came into contact with the people behind Paradajz was in 2007,” Martin Looije says. “Enthusiastic people with ideas, but still without knowledge of modern glasshouse horticulture. They found exactly what they were looking for with our company, to give their ideas a correct form and even more importantly to make sure that their ideas could become a reality.” Click here for the full article.
