Leamington: severe weather warning for today

June 23, 2010, Leamington,
Ont. – An
area of southwestern Ontario that was hit by a tornado early this month
is
bracing for some severe weather expected today.

bracing for some severe weather expected today. 

Thunderstorms with nickel-sized hail
and high winds will be moving into the Leamington area early this
afternoon.

Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says there are two separate bands of storms
that
could hit the area, with the second arriving late in the afternoon and
early
evening. He says the storms look similar to ones which spawned a tornado
that
hit the Harrow and Leamington areas June 6.
