May 21, 2013, Vineland Station, Ont. — There are two weeks left to share what you like most about the greenhouse industry, and the best answer wins an iPad Mini.

GGS Structures Inc. is running a new contest and posing an interesting question to all greenhouse growers:  what do growers like most about working in this industry?

“The contest is well underway, and we’ve had an amazing response so far,” said Richard Hebbourn, communications specialist at GGS. “We’ve enjoyed the unique, creative, and inspirational responses. Some entries have been as long as a page, while others are only a few words long.

"We have had poems, very serious entries, and some are quite comical. It’s great to see the variety of personality in the responses we’ve received.”

GGS says the whole point of the contest is to promote the industry, with the focus being helping growers succeed.

“We’re going to create a special section on our website to post all the response we receive,” said Hebbourn.

'SHARE, TEACH, INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE ONE ANOTHER'

“Greenhouse growers are part of a community. They share, teach, inspire and motivate one another. Our hope is that growers will come across these responses, and it will continue to remind them what they’re in it for. We also want to encourage people new to the industry – reading responses from seasoned veterans is motivating. It’s powerful.”

Growers have until the end of May to enter the contest. During the month of June the top answers will be posted on the GGS website, and everyone will have the opportunity to vote on their favourite submission. The one with the most votes by the end of June will win the iPad Mini.
