Bio-fertility product raises THC levels by up to 12 per cent

Designed to support early growth and flowering enhancement, TP-1000 is a different type of nutrient solution available to Canadian commercial cannabis producers.

Known as a bio-fertility product, Canadian distributor MustGrow says the product has been shown to help a cannabis plant reach its full potential.

Discovered and developed by Los Alamos National Laboratories and the University of California at Riverside, TP-1000 has been shown to enhance the efficient uptake, assimilation and utilization of nutrients for more consistent crop quality and yield potential.

Third party cannabis trials have shown THC increases of six to 12 per cent, terpene increases of 10 to 15 per cent, CBD increases of five to 10 per cent, and two to three percent increases in dry bud weight.

“What this means is growers not only produce more product but at a higher quality which will dramatically improve their return on investment,” says a spokesperson for MustGrow.

TP-1000 comes in liquid form and is applied weekly throughout the plants’ growing cycle.

“Third party indoor trials have demonstrated excellent performance in hydroponic cannabis applications, with significant increases in terpene, and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration,” says Nick Favret, Senior Product Director of Triangle Plant Sciences which developed the product.
