independent garden centres and their vendors will debut this summer.

What’s billed as the first national trade show in the U.S. targeted specifically to
independent garden centres and their vendors will debut this summer.
The Independent Garden Center (IGC) Show is being held in Chicago from Aug.
21-23. The IGC show is the first national trade show targeted specifically to independent
garden centres and their vendors.

The event is being produced by Nursery Retailer and Garden Chic magazines.

The
show will open with 500 booths, and plans are to expand the annual event as demand
grows, according to Jeff Morey, publisher of Nursery Retailer.
Sandi McDonald, president of Garden Centers of America, is pleased the show is
targeted to the independent garden centre sector. As a part of its endorsement, Garden
Centers of America will provide education program support. GCA is the national trade
association in the U.S. representing independent garden centres.
