Jan. 15, 2103, Chicago — World Floral Expo 2014 (March 26-28) will be hosted at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Centre.
It’s located just 10 minutes from O’Hare international airport and only 45 minutes from downtown Chicago.
Previous Expos were held in New York and Miami.
Flower growers from Ecuador, Colombia, Kenya and Ethiopia, to name a few, will be displaying fresh cut flowers, ready for immediate shipping, both through individual stands as well country pavilions.
“Chicago is one of America’s biggest cities and one of the largest consumers of flowers and plants and therefore a logical move,” notes show director Dick van Raamsdonk.
Among highlights are flower design demonstrations each day featuring six master flower designers from the Netherlands.
In addition, a panel discussion will take place on “changing fresh flower distribution channels.”
Entry to World Floral Expo and the floral demonstrations is free of charge.
