Swansons Nursery of Seattle, WA won second place in the contest with their inspiring display of 'Late Season Perennials'.  Their prize — complimentary registration for the 2009 Perennial Plant Association Symposium in St. Lois, MO, July 19 to 24.

Third place was awarded to Dewayne's Home & Garden Showplace in Selma, NC for their 'A Monarch's Retreat' butterfly garden display.  A complete set of Piet Oudolf books is Dewayne's prize.

Open to garden centers throughout North America, the contest is an opportunity to promote and showcase creativity in perennial merchandising.  The judging task was particularly challenging this year as all entries showed a high degree of imagination and talent.
