Who or what inspires you to buy flowers?
April 30, 2015 By Dave Harrison
April 30, 2015, Guelph, Ont. – PickOntario, a marketing initiative funded by Flowers Canada (Ontario) Inc. has launched “Express It With Flowers,” a consumer awareness promotion running from May 1 to Mother’s Day (May 10).
Customers will be given the opportunity to win a beautiful Ontario grown bouquet of flowers or potted plant by entering to win on pickOntario’s Facebook page.
Here are some great reasons to “Express It With Flowers:”
• Is there someone in your life that you want to show appreciation to because they are always there for you?
• What about the colleague who is always willing to pitch in and help; always going the extra mile for the team?
• What about saying thank you through flowers to the caring volunteers who offer up their time – quietly making an impact on the lives of others?
• Or how about just brightening someone’s day – just because you can!
For 10 days, pickOntario will post a question and a new reason to give flowers on their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/pickOntario).
All that contestants need to enter is by submitting a photo or short story on the post for that day, explaining who they think deserves flowers in relation to the daily topic.
PickOntario will pick a great story or photo each day and the lucky winner will not only get a chance to receive/give beautiful flowers or plants valued at $50, but they will also be given the opportunity to share their story about the value of giving flowers. This contest is open to all Ontario residents.
“We hope everyone will be watching the Marilyn Denis Show on Thursday, May 7th, when pickOntario will be donating beautiful Ontario-grown flowers for the audience members in support of Mother’s Day,” said FCO marketing manager Dejan Kristan.
“The start of spring is a great time for flowers, especially after our long cold winter. Buying and giving colourful Ontario grown flowers help us make those special connections to the people we care about, and provide an overall sense of well-being, as well as help support our local farmers that make it all possible.”
PickOntario, supported by Flowers Canada (Ontario) Inc., is a marketing campaign designed to help raise awareness, interest and demand for Ontario-grown cut flowers and potted plants.
