Succession Planning – It’s never too early to start

Greenhouse horticulture is well known for multi-generational farm operations, with often two generations – and sometimes three – working side-by-side.

Succession planning is essential to a smooth transition when retirements roll around, and this webinar will offer solid advice on how best to prepare.

Leading the session is Terry Betker, president and CEO of Backswath Management Inc., based in Manitoba.

Betker is recognized for his visionary and leading-edge contribution to farm management. He is the Canadian representative to the International Farm Management Association, and is also a founding member of Familybusiness.ag. He is a past president of the Canadian Consulting Agrologists Association, a past founding national director of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors, and a past director of the Canadian Farm Business Management Council.

Betker was appointed to a committee by the federal agriculture minister to review Business Risk Management program development and implementation.
