Vertical venting can save energy and improve plant health

Growers looking to increase their crop yields and lower their energy consumption could realize 10 to 15 per cent energy savings by introducing vertical venting in their operations, according to Nivola’s Henk de Groot.
HortiDaily reports that by using a vertical fan to blow air sideways, growers can achieve a homogenous hot, dry climate inside the greenhouse and prevent fungi like botrytis from forming.
