Two New Vision Forums for IGCs this summer

May 30, 2014  By Canadian Garden Centre & Nursery

May, 30, 2014, Columbus, OH – Leading industry consultants John Stanley and Sid Raisch have joined forces for two New Vision Forums aimed at helping independent garden retailers develop strategies for long-term relevance.

Two New Vision Forums will be held this summer, allowing more retailers to participate. The first will run Aug. 20 to 21 in Portland, Ore., in conjunction with the Farwest Show, and the second will be Aug. 28 to 29 in Baltimore, Mld.

The New Vision Forum is designed as a two-day event for developing opportunities and ideas into strategies, objectives, and plans. The learning format includes lectures and discussions by Stanley and Raisch in a unique forum designed to help retailers work together to discover a new vision for success.

During the forums, retailers will develop new approaches for their businesses and for the horticultural industry.

“This unique opportunity is not a series of lectures. The aim is for each of us as presenters to bring forward information and ideas to allow the group to challenge and debate, and come up with new strategies unique for their businesses and the industry,” said Stanley.

“The focus of the outcome is for participants to come away with actionable plans for their unique situations; plans they feel confident investing in and implementing,” added Raisch.

Seating is limited at both locations, so organizers encourage interested retailers to register early. Visit  www.AmericanHort.org/NVF for more information.
