YOUR REASONS TO 'EXPRESS IT WITH FLOWERS?'

• Is there someone in your life that you want to show your appreciation because they are always there for you?

• How about the colleague who is always willing to pitch in and help; always going the extra mile for the team?

• What about saying thank you through flowers to the caring volunteers who offer up their time – quietly making an impact on the lives of others?

• Or how about just brightening someone’s day – because you can!

TWENTY PRIZE-WINNING ENTRIES

For 20 days, pickOntario will post a new reason to give flowers on www.pickOntario.ca. Contestants can enter to win by submitting their related story and photo on how they “Express It With Flowers” on Facebook.

PickOntario will pick a great story each day and the lucky winner will not only get a chance to receive/give beautiful flowers and plants valued at $50, but they will also be given the opportunity to share their story on the value of giving flowers.

This contest is open to all Ontario residents.

Listen to Kathy Wall on 91.5 The Beat "9 at Noon" for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate donated by Hearts and Flowers Floral Shop or Cameron’s Flower Shop. The show airs weekdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

TV EXPOSURE FOR ONTARIO FLOWERS

“We hope everyone will be watching the Marilyn Denis Show on May 9 and Breakfast Television on May 5 when pickOntario will donate beautiful Ontario-grown flowers in support of Mother’s Day for audience members.”

She added that Ontario-grown flowers are not just for special occasions.

“Flowers can help us make those special connections to the folks we care about, any time of the year, and while providing valuable health benefits and overall sense of well-being we can support our local farmers by ‘buying local’!”
