Jan. 31, 2014 — The third season of e-GRO Alerts has been launched, and the response, much like the previous two years, is overwhelmingly positive.

For starters, the e-GRO website contains new 2014 articles and six new videos (under the video tab).

Features posted so far are:

• Is Your Business Smart Phone Ready.

• More Ethephon Options.

• Signs of High and Low pH.

• New Video Learning with e-GRO University.

As well, there are new downloads on “Plectranthus,” “Clerondendrum,” and “Bedding Plant Troubleshooting.”

To expand coverage, e-GRO has added Dr. Kristin Getter from Michigan State University. There are eight contributors from seven states.

The goal of the newsletter is to inform growers know of insect, disease, nutritional, or physiological growth situations that are occurring in production greenhouses.

Weekly updates will be sent out during the spring 2014 cropping cycle through to the end of April. The format will focus on a single problem, management strategies, and contain colour photographs.

All articles are searchable on the website
