The ‘nuts and bolts’ of IPM

Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, in conjunction with Flowers Canada
(Ontario), is hosting a one-day workshop on “How to develop and
implement an IPM program for your greenhouse operation.”

Dec. 15, 2008, Vineland Station, Ont. — The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, in conjunction with Flowers Canada (Ontario), is hosting a one-day workshop on “How to develop and implement an IPM program for your greenhouse operation.” These workshops have been very successful in the past to the point where the majority of the industry is now using IPM.
The workshop is a hands-on exercise in how to set up an IPM program, and includes presentations on IPM basics, pest biology and identification, monitoring, biological control, disease IPM, and the “nuts and bolts” of getting started.
It will be held Wednesday, Jan. 28, in Rittenhouse Hall of the OMAFRA Advisory Services Building in Vineland Station, from 8:30 to 4:30.
