The countdown to Canada Blooms is on!

Jan. 31, 2014, Toronto — The countdown to Canada Blooms kicked off with professional floral designers and artists revealing the spectacular features that will be on display during the festival.

The partnership between architecture and nature will inspire the artists and designers who will be creating the popular feature gardens and floral displays at the 18th annual Canada Blooms flower and garden festival, March 14 to 23 at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto.

"The feature gardens and floral displays captivate the senses each and every year," said Bruce Sudds, director of marketing and sponsorship for Canada Blooms. "We're happy to launch this preview as there is such anticipation for Canada Blooms."

The professional landscape and garden architects, designers and builders who will be creating the popular feature gardens gave a sneak peek at the concepts they will turn into stunning displays for the show.

Anna V. Maris, Ryan Heath, Adam Bienenstock, Janet Ennamorato, Paul Zammit, Louis Tolfo, Preston Stringer and Town of Goderich Deputy Mayor John Grace revealed their concepts for the 2014 show.

The special media preview also included a Bouquet Battle among top floral designers Bruno Duarte, Sabine Calame, Giancarlo Cianciotta, Nicholas Smith, Todd Kjargaard and Jennifer Harvey.

"Spring evokes unforgettable feelings of rebirth and renewal that inspire the gardener in us all," said Colomba Fuller from Canada Blooms. "Our floral and garden designers will go 'Wild' this year to create acres of fantasy gardens that will capture the imagination."
