Sept. 23, 2016, Leamington, Ont. – Starting this fall, customers in North America will be able to use the new full service and sales department of Taks Handling Systems in Leamington.

Taks Handling Systems has been active in Canada and the U.S. for more than 15 years.

The company is one of the leading manufacturers of (post) harvest logistic solutions for greenhouse horticulture, fruits and vegetables.

Included are all high-grade harvest processing and packing systems for internal transport, sorting, packing, palletizing, tracking and tracing.

“Together with the high quality of the equipment, great service has always been very important for us,” says CEO Arie Meeuwissen.

The North American greenhouse, vegetable and fruit industry has grown considerably over the last decade, he notes. Companies have become larger, with a growing need for more efficient and reliable solutions.

Taks’ R&D department is busy developing new systems to increase efficiency in harvest processing and internal transport.

“Thanks to the experience we have gained over the past 15 years in Canada and the U.S., we know what the market is looking for,” says Meeuwissen. “This has resulted, among other things, the ability to convert our turnkey solutions into a modular range. So Taks quality becomes accessible to everyone.”

Meeuwissen says the company uses only top-quality components to “guarantee a long service life and a low downtime. Quality makes the difference.”

The Leamington office ensures a quicker response time to its growing number of customers throughout North America.

Taks Handling Systems will also have a booth (#3014-15) at the Canadian Greenhouse Conference, Oct. 5-6 in Niagara Falls.
