May 26, 2014, Kingsville, Ont. — Mastronardi Produce has debuted its all-new packaging system: the Eco Flavour Bowl™.
The Eco Flavour Bowl™ is a unique pack that uses top seal technology to lock in fresh SUNSET® flavour.
The bowl is made from recycled materials and is 100 per cent recyclable. “A lot of research goes into our packaging designs,” notes director of packaging Giuseppe Rubino.
“Right now, consumers are looking for sustainable packaging that meets the needs of families. The Eco Flavour Bowl™ is the perfect size and format for snacking, serving and entertaining, all while reducing your carbon footprint.”
The Eco Flavour Bowl™ is sealed with a high graphic film, using up to 20 per cent less materials than traditional clamshells. It is extremely user friendly as it’s easy to peel and the design allows consumers to see as much of the product as possible.
At this time, SUNSET products available in the Eco Flavour Bowl™ include SUNSET Angel Sweet™, Splendido™, Zima™ and the newly designed Wild Wonders™.
The SUNSET Eco Flavour Bowl is a finalist for this year’s United Fresh New Product Award in the packaging category.
