By Dave Harrison
October 2016 – Stokesia ‘Blue Frills’ features loads of 2.5-3″ electric violet blue free-flowering blooms. The vase-shaped flower canopy is fuller than ‘Peachie’s Pick’ with flower display above foliage.
‘Blue Frills’ is easy to grow and blooms from July to August in full sun. It grows 16-18″ tall and 20″ wide. It features hardiness to Zone 5 and is ideal for the front and middle of borders, informal gardens or containers. Versatile, it is also an excellent cut flower and it attracts bees and butterflies. It is from Blooms of Bressingham and was bred by Har Stemkens. musthaveperennials
