Ontario and Quebec had their cameras and notepads at the ready as they
toured this year’s George Sant & Sons Greenhouses Open House,
co-hosted by Ball Seed.
Sept. 10, 2014, Kleinburg, Ont. — Hundreds of growers from across Ontario and Quebec had their cameras and notepads at the ready as they toured this year’s George Sant & Sons Greenhouses Open House, co-hosted by Ball Seed.

| Among those welcoming growers were Anna Ball, and Dan, Rick and Ron Sant.

Among special guests this year was Ball Horticultural president and CEO Anna Ball.
In a brief welcoming address during the lunch break, she noted Ball and Sant have worked together for many years.
The industry is known for many such strong relationships, she added, helping growers and companies get through tough times and also take advantage of opportunities during good times.
GARDEN MUM TRIALS
In addition to the inside displays, the open house also featured extensive garden mum trials featuring varieties from Syngenta, Grolink, Dummen and Ball.
Included this year are ethrel trials with three treatments: one application (July 29), two applications (July 29 and Aug. 2), and a control. All had one pinch.
