Rosa Flora begins major expansion project

April 15, 2015  By Dave Harrison

April 15, 2015, Dunnville, Ont. – Rosa Flora Limited is expanding its production of snapdragons and lisianthus at its Dunnville location.

The company is adding over 125,000 square feet of production to keep up with demand.

“Due to overwhelming demand from customers after reintroducing our VIP lisianthus and returning to early 2014 snapdragon production levels, the decision to expand was obvious,” said co-owner Josh Bulk.

“Our customers have supported us through this difficult year, and we had to listen to their needs.”

Bulk is referring to a devastating fire that caused severe losses just over one year ago. Rosa Flora has since rebounded to pre-fire production levels of snapdragons. It has also re-introduced the VIP lisianthus program with a tremendously positive response.

The first production in the new greenhouse ranges is expected this fall.

“We are proud to continue to expand in our market and to provide beautiful flowers to people who want to buy them,” said co-owner Ralph DeBoer.

“We couldn’t do this without our tried and tested Rosa Flora team that works so hard to make it happen.”

Since 1978, Rosa Flora has taken Pride in Every Petal. They are leading North American cut flower growers, specializing in large and mini gerbera, lisianthus, snapdragons, alstroemeria, celosia and stephanotis.
