Ribbed Tomato has Old-Fashioned Look
By Dave Harrison
June 2015 – De Ruiter has a very strong presence in the beefsteak segment, with varieties like Torero and Foronti doing really well.
De Ruiter has some new beefsteak varieties coming out with a ribbing shape, which gives the tomato a more old-fashioned look. One example is ‘DRW7749,’ a recently launched beef tomato variety with ribbing. It can be seen as a combination between a Coeur de Boeuf and a beef tomato, with a classic look but also very high yields.
