in FCO tourney

It was another rewarding summer for greenhouse research, thanks to the sponsors and participants in the 37th annual Flowers Canada.

Nov. 6, 2009 – It was another rewarding summer for greenhouse research, thanks to the sponsors and participants in the 37th annual Flowers Canada (Ontario) – Cecil Delworth Golf Tournament held at the Niagara Parks Whirlpool Golf Course.

Some 123 players participated. Ag Energy, Enbridge Gas, Horta Craft, Jeffery’s Greenhouses, Scotiabank and Willson were banner sponsors.

Award winners included:

founderstrophy  
Founder’s Trophy, donated by Tidy’s Flowers in honour of Nick Lye,
one of the tournament’s founding fathers, and presented to the team
with the lowest gross and a combined age of at least 200 years:
L-R: Barrie Ogilvie, Doug Smith, presenter Jim Lye, John Edgar
and Dave de Haan.

The winners donated their prize funds back to the Cecil Delworth
Foundation.
