Nov. 6, 2009 – It was another rewarding summer for greenhouse research, thanks to the sponsors and participants in the 37th annual Flowers Canada (Ontario) – Cecil Delworth Golf Tournament held at the Niagara Parks Whirlpool Golf Course.
Some 123 players participated. Ag Energy, Enbridge Gas, Horta Craft, Jeffery’s Greenhouses, Scotiabank and Willson were banner sponsors.
Award winners included:
Founder’s Trophy, donated by Tidy’s Flowers in honour of Nick Lye, one of the tournament’s founding fathers, and presented to the team with the lowest gross and a combined age of at least 200 years: L-R: Barrie Ogilvie, Doug Smith, presenter Jim Lye, John Edgar and Dave de Haan. |
