Raker preventatively treating for downy mildew

March 7, 2012  By Canadian Garden Centre & Nursery

Mar. 7, 2012, Litchfield, MI —Downy mildew disease on Impatiens wallerana is increasingly a concern for greenhouse growers, and the evidence indicates that growers need to take this disease very seriously.

To help its grower customers battle this devastating disease, C. Raker & Sons has initiated a preventative disease control program. All of Raker's Impatiens wallerana will be treated preventatively for the disease prior to shipment.

Growers can be assured their product will be protected when they receive it, though Raker strongly advises growers to continue a preventative program as part of their production plan.
