Nov. 2, 2010 – Blooming non-stop through the heat and humidity of the Southeast earned
Snow Princess® the coveted Florida Garden Select Award for 2011. A
favorite Proven Winners® annual Lobularia with mounds of fragrant white
blossoms, Snow Princess has been turning heads wherever it is planted
and this latest award speaks to its ability to thrive in challenging
conditions.

Sponsored by the Florida Nursery, Growers, and Landscape Association,
the Florida Garden Select Award highlights a small number of plants
each year that display easy propagation and maintenance, wide
geographic use, pest and disease resistance, and consumer appeal among
other attributes. The award was given to six plants for 2011; Snow
Princess was the only annual.

“We anticipate Snow Princess being a great consumer hit in Florida
because of its dainty, pure white blooms, huge mounds, and sweet
fragrance,” says Jennifer Nelis of the Florida Nursery, Growers, and
Landscape Association. “It’s extended bloom time in Florida takes its
consumer wow-factor off the charts!”

Snow Princess’ all-star performance is due to a breeding
breakthrough—it is sterile. Unlike all other Lobularias, it spends no
time producing seed. Instead it throws all of its energy into new
flowers, creating a lush cascade of bright white blooms all season.

Pair Snow Princess with other vigorous and long blooming Proven Winners
varieties such as Superbena® Verbenas and Supertunia® Vista Petunias.
Along with the show stopping vigor, it also fills the landscape with
sweet perfume—it’s a feast for the senses.
