May 11, 2011 – This spring Proven Winners® is extending its ever-growing media
portfolio by adding seven NBC-TV local station affiliates to the mix.

May 11, 2011 – This spring Proven Winners® is extending its ever-growing media
portfolio by adding seven NBC-TV local station affiliates to the mix. In addition to their extensive print, radio and online advertising
campaigns, gardeners will now see and hear the Proven Winners’ 30-second
television commercial while watching The Today Show and other morning
and evening news programming in seven major markets.

The campaign will run through early June on local NBC stations in
Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, San Diego, Boston and New
York markets. Over 15 million viewership impressions are anticipated as
Proven Winners continues to find new ways to support growers and
retailers in large gardening markets.

“We chose to focus on local news programming since viewers are
increasingly using digital video recorders to record their favorite
programming—allowing them to forward through commercials. They aren’t
doing this with local news or Weather Channel programming. In fact,
local news is an important part of the renewed focus on local
communities and is a well-watched medium especially in the female 35-64
demographic audience,” stated Marshall Dirks, Director of Marketing for
Proven Winners.

Additionally, Proven Winners will continue its television commercials on
The Weather Channel’s popular segment “Local on the 8’s”, where 270+
commercials will add an addition 43 million impressions over a 6-week
period.

This spring gardeners also will see, hear, and read about Proven Winners
in over 30 consumer publications, on 20 top radio stations and on many
popular websites throughout North America in a consumer campaign
unmatched by any other company in the industry.
