Proven Beauty wins national media award

July 24, 2009 – The debut issue of Proven Beauty, Proven Winners online consumer magazine has earned an award from the Garden Writers Association.

The debut issue of Proven Beauty (, Proven Winners®
online consumer magazine that aims to help the home gardener succeed,
received the prestigious Silver Award of Achievement for Overall Product –
Electronic Media from Garden Writers Association (GWA). Proven Beauty is also a
contender for GWA’s Garden Media Gold Award at its September annual
meeting in Raleigh, N.C. 
“To see all around good scores in four categories [needed for an Overall Product
award] in a medium that’s new really shows an extra level of proficiency and
diligence,” said Robert LaGasse, GWA’s executive director. The Silver Award is
the highest level achievable until the Gold Award winners are announced. Proven
Beauty was selected by four panels of two judges, who scored the publication on
writing, graphic design, photography and illustrations. 
Proven Beauty offers beautifully designed articles with easy-to-grasp advice and
project ideas aimed at gardeners of all ages, including younger adults. Published
once annually with information that is specific to the region you are in, Proven
Beauty reaches consumers in spring and is available to retailers at no cost to use
as a marketing tool.
