Plant nutrition questions? Check e-GRO webinar

Oct. 22, 2015 — The e-GRO Group of Floriculture Extension Specialists is offering their first research update webinar on Friday, Oct. 30. There will be four, short 12-minute presentations and followed by time for questions. The topics are listed below.

• “Why Does My Substrate pH Drop When I Use a Basic Fertilizer,” with Brian Whipker, NC State University.

• “Revising Your Phosphorus Fertilizer Strategy,” with Josh Henry, NC State University.

• “Using Vermicompost as an Organic Fertilizer for Container Plants,” with Stephanie Brace, Cornell University.
 
• “Silicon Fertilizer Enhances Stress Tolerance of Bedding and Potted Plants,” with Neil Mattson, Cornell University.
