Johan Van Huylenbroeck, a Belgium breeder, wanted to dedicate this hydrangea to his son, so he gave it a similar name to his son’s favourite Teletubbie character, Tinky Winky. ‘Pinky Winky’s’ blooms are indeterminate, meaning it continues to produce new, pure white flowers even as the older flowers age a deep pink at the base of the bloom. Blooms can reach 12 to 16 inches in length. It is available in a gallon-sized container through Proven Winners ColorChoice gold key growers.
