Feb. 22, 1012 — PickOntario is challenging consumers to “Say It With Flowers” during its special 60-day campaign.
That’s the focus of a two-month campaign that begins next month during Canada Blooms and continues to Mother’s Day.
The campaign offers “60 days of inspiration, 60 days of giveaways,” while supplying growers and retailers with “60 reasons for extra sales.”

The campaign will be hosted on the pickOntario website and its Facebook page, but it will also gain attention with other media. Among those promoting the campaign will be Frank Ferragine, also known as “Frankie Flowers” on CITY-TV’s Breakfast Television show.
“We are hoping to get people to think of flowers for more than only weddings and funerals,” says pickOntario marketing coordinator Fabiola Prins.
Consumers can submit suggestions related to each day’s theme. For example, Day 24 is the “Best Grandpa” award day. “Do you have the best grandpa in the world? Send him a beautiful bunch of flowers to tell him you think he is special.”
Pick Ontario is offering a bouquet for each day’s winning submission.
“We already have a lot of growers, wholesalers and chain stores that support pickOntario,” notes Prins, “and we are positive that when we work together as an industry we can make things happen.”
