Ontario’s increasing power rates – due to renewable projects?

Tim Weis of the Pembina Institute says in the Toronto Star that Ontario’s rising electricity prices have less to do with governmental support for renewable energy and more to do with nuclear power and other factors.

He says that although the need to replace many nuclear reactors and the phasing out of coal are costly issues so far unique to Ontario, electricity prices are going up across Canada – no matter what source of energy is used. Read more here.
