Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers’ campaign wins Gold Hermes Award

Greenhouse Goodness initiative recognized for educating and creating industry awareness

Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG) has been recognized with a Gold Hermes Award for its Greenhouse Goodness Digital campaign.

In a recent press release, the OGVG shared the news that their digital educational campaign, highlighting the benefits of greenhouse-grown peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes, has been recognized.

Greenhouse Goodness was developed in collaboration with Douglas Marketing Group (DMG) and is part of a muti-level strategy that includes social media influencers, online advertising, retail and point-of-sale education.

The digital campaign and key messaging, aim to bring nutritious, fresh, and sustainable produce to the tables of consumers. It was chosen amongst more than 6,500 entries from the U.S., Canada, and 36 other countries.

“The Greenhouse Goodness campaign highlights the high standards and innovative practices that go into every step of the processes of our growers,” said Richard Lee, Executive Director, in the release.

“We are dedicated to continuing our efforts in educating consumers and promoting the advantages of greenhouse grown produce while reinforcing our position as an industry leader.”

The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of traditional and emerging media.

“An impactful campaign was developed working with the values and mission of Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers. The Greenhouse Goodness campaign is positioned to showcase the key benefits of greenhouse-grown vegetables aimed to educate and create industry awareness,” said Kay Douglas, DMG president, in the release.

“The Association has a great mandate, members, and an exceptional product that North America can be proud of, as well as a strong message and nutritious produce to deliver to consumers.”
